Providing The Resources You Need

Whether it’s industry news, mining resources, frequently asked questions, or reference material, AMA is involved with everything that has to do with mineral mining in Alaska. If it interests or concerns you or your mining operation, AMA offers Alaskans a clearing house of information about mining in Alaska. Listed here is a small representation of what is available through AMA— feel free to call AMA for more assistance.

Interested in getting started mining in Alaska? Your first stop should be the webpage for the Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Mining, Land, and Water. There you’ll find where you can mine recreationally and where claims are available for access. You’ll also find the steps you need to take to apply for permits— and start your operations. Additionally, you’ll see the contacts of DNR personnel that can help answer your questions. If you have further questions, don’t hesitate to call the AMA office. http://dnr.alaska.gov/mlw/mining/index.cfm
